Meet the Doctors

At Columbus Family Dental, our team of Doctors work together striving for one common goal - to ensure our patients receive the highest standard of dental care available. Drs. Adam Forster, Matthew Clary, Andrew Nothem and Lexy Wenzel have completed extensive training and continue to stay up­ to­ date with the latest advancements by completing vast amounts of continuing education courses.

Dr. Adam has been a long-time resident of Southern Wisconsin. He grew up in Baraboo and went to high school there. After graduation, he attended Hamline University in St. Paul, MN and received his bachelor’s degree. Adam then traveled down the road to the University of Minnesota to complete his dental school training and graduated in 2004 with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree. After graduating in 2004, Adam moved to Columbus and began practicing dentistry. He enjoys practicing with an emphasis on utilizing all of today’s newest technologies and latest dental procedures. Adam believes a focus on staying current with continuing education is a must. He has completed over 1000 hours of continuing education since being in practice, focusing on CEREC dentistry, implants, orthodontics, and cosmetic work.

With the opening of Prairie Lakes Dental in 2014, Dr. Adam has enjoyed bringing these services to the Sun Prairie / East Madison area. Aside from practicing dentistry, Adam enjoys teaching as well. He has been a trainer for Patterson Dental, the distributors of the CEREC CAD-CAM machine. Adam also has lectured to other doctors and dental staff on various topics in multiple venues.

Adam has been married to his wife Sara since 2005. They have a young daughter, Gwendolyn, a son named Lincoln, and an English bulldog, Lady Wrinkles. In his free time, Adam enjoys golfing and playing tennis. He is an avid Green Bay Packers fan, and enjoys attending Badger football and basketball games.

Matthew R. Clary, D.D.S.

Dr. Matthew grew up in Baraboo, Wisconsin. He attended the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, where he received his undergraduate degree in biomedical science. Staying in the state, Matt achieved his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from Marquette School of Dentistry. In 2006, Dr. Matt joined Dr. Adam at Columbus Family Dental, where he has been helping his patients achieve and maintain beautiful, healthy smiles. Dr. Matt strives to stay up-to-date with all of the latest treatment and techniques. To do this, he has taken countless hours of continuing education with a strong emphasis on CEREC (CAD-CAM machine) technology. Dr. Matt enjoys the teaching aspect of dentistry and has also been a CEREC trainer for Patterson Dental.

Other than dentistry, Matt loves spending time with his wife Holly of 12 years and his two young children, Anna and Roland. Matt also enjoys playing basketball, reading, watching the Packers, and is an avid Badger basketball fan.

Andrew Nothem, D.D.S.
Andrew Nothem, D.D.S.

Dr. Andrew grew up in Franklin, WI. He received his undergraduate degree from Marquette University in Biomedical Sciences before graduating from Marquette School of Dentistry with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Dr. Andrew brings his enthusiasm and innovative thinking to the Columbus Family Dental practice. He loves working with people and strives each day to better the lives of others. He looks forward to continuing his education in all aspects of dentistry, including but not limited to: endodontics, orthodontics, prosthodontics, implant therapy, and oral surgery.

Dr. Andrew enjoys golfing, bowling, hunting and fishing all over the state of Wisconsin. He is an avid sports fan. Andrew has been married to his wife, Kate, since 2010. They both enjoy being involved in their local church and community. They have two young sons, Charlie and Henry.

Alexandra Wenzel, D.D.S

Dr. Lexy grew up in Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Wisconsin, Madison before graduating from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2015. Dr. Lexy brings her energy and commitment to excellence to the Columbus Family Dental Practice. She loves to provide better living for her patients through dentistry. Dr. Lexy enjoys learning and stays up to date in all aspects of dentistry with continuing education courses.

Dr. Lexy enjoys travelling, drawing, painting, music and Korean food. She spends her free time drinking too much coffee and reading a lot of books.
